Knitting and Crafting Group @ Ruth Keeler Memorial Library (North Salem)

This group meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Interested in knitting or crafting? Bring your current project or try something new for a fun evening with coffee and tea and a chance to meet fellow crafters. There is no registration for this group and drop-ins are welcome.
This program is cosponsored with the North Salem Recreation Department. Because of the holidays, there will be only one meeting of this group in December.

Watercolor Painting @ Hendrick Hudson Free Library (Montrose)

Get in touch with your inner artist with Sharon Kullberg at the Hendrick Hudson Free Library. The main focus of this workshop will be how to use this media; drawing and color theory will be discussed as well. For adults and teens, beginners to advanced, bring a still life or paint one that will be set up. Supplies will be provided, but bring additional if you like. Registration begins January 6. Big Read Westchester: Adult & Teen Collage Workshop @ Hendrick Hudson Free Library (Montrose)

Michael Albert, local resident, modern pop artist, and author of An Artist's America (Henry Holt, 2008) will guide you through one of his famous "Cereal Box Collage Workshops" using actual cereal boxes, scissors, and glue to explore th themes of Tim O'Brien's The Things They Carried.
